South London’s Wordsmiff FLIP (fka Wordsmith) initially burst onto the UK Hip Hop scene in the
early 2000’s and quickly became one of the most revered on the mic with his razor-sharp lyricism, unique vocal delivery and braggadocious barbed, multisyllabic rhyme schemes.
After a long hiatus, Wordsmiff has finally returned to the scene with the release of his 3 rd solo album which has landed 15 years since his esteemed debut. On ‘The Grownman Showcase’ we see Wordsmiff come full circle as he unapologetically offers an insight into his innermost thoughts and feelings by touching on subjects such as racism, redemption, grief, mental illness and becoming a parent. The album showcases his growth and maturity while still remaining true to his roots and serves as another solid release to add to his lengthy yet sometimes controversial history within the UK Hip Hop scene.
