Your rappers favourite rapper. The North London lyricist cut his teeth at legendary pirate radio stations Freeze FM and Rinse, before forming the prolific crews London Zoo (w/ Sumgii, Frosty, Pierre Green, Cobes and Rocksta), Dead Players (w/ Jam Baxter and GhostTown), and Problem Child (w/ Sumgii, Dubbledge and Penghui’s Illaman). Now cultivating “hybrid rap shit” at his label Potent Funk Records, Dabbla blows apart genres with a microphone.
His first solo LP Year of the Monkey landed on High Focus in 2016 and led to Dabbla being headhunted by Romesh Ranganathan to create exclusive music for his US TV series, Just Another Immigrant. The second instalment Death Moves was released two years later via Potent Funk, and featured the hefty single ‘Tweeters’ alongside Rag N Bone Man.
